So it's 2014 soon! I had a kind of lively year! I got stressed, sick from stress, got more sick from the medecine, I handed in tons and tons of essays and assessments but I also had a lot of fun with my favorite persons. A good year overall. But it's always fun with a new year, a new start. Also a lot to look forward to! So here's a list of things I look forward to this year (other than having a good time with my friends and family, of course!)
Season 4 Game of Thrones - Ohmygod this will be awesome. I am currently reading "A Feast for Crows" when I have the time so I already know what's going to happen but STILL!
IB will be over! - ohmygodyesfinally. I will be freeeeeeeee!
Studenten. - Okay so this is kind of the Swedish word for graduating from um... High School? The different school systems are so confusing... But either way! It is a very big deal which includes various traditions. The day starts with what we call "champagne breakfast" which is exactly what it sounds like. The girls usually wear white dresses and the boys suits and then we have special silly hats (Try googling "studentmössa"). Then, class by class, we run out of the school and outside is friends and family who hang silly things around our necks, basically anything, but usually it is small stuffed animals. Then we have some games for a while in the park and then we go on huuuuge wagons (also class by class) through the town for like an hour or two or so, with music on each wagon. When this is done there is usually a party for each person at home and two days after is the ball for all the graduates at the big hotel in the city. The graduates are also usually drunk as fuck. Oh Sweden.
Mumford&Sons album (maybe) - Marcus has been talking about a new one so we'll see about that! Would be super awesome if it is true.
The previous will mean tour dates!! - ahhhhh who wouldn't want to see Mumford live!?! They sold out in 10 minutes when they were in Sweden this spring and I missed it
I turn 18! - This is kind of a huge deal in Sweden. It basically is what 16 is for Americans. (Or at least it seems like 16 is fucking huge there. God, MTV even has a show being about bitchy brats turning 16) We get to drive, drink at bars and vote! Though I actually think the new elections are like 1 day before my birthday... but who gives, I wouldn't have known who to vote for anyway.
I will have tons of time to photograph! - Goes hand in hand with the fact that I'm graduating. My camera is not getting that much attention anymore because I really don't have the time. But this summer... I will spend much more time here!
What do you look forward to in 2014? Or do you have some new years resolutions?
